Sass Swarm MM Board Run 8/3/13

Today's board Run (as listed here) Was completed at 9 am slt. So if you're on later in the day, the number of people who've hit the mm's will likely be higher. It is a sales day so if we make sure to hit the boards it's more likely we will see them lock. Sass Swarm Run 12/6

Today's run provided some surprising finds. A few stores have moved recently, including Libby's and Kirina's. Some have added new boards, or new items in the mm's. As well as a few different lucky dips. But I think my favorite surprises were the new group gifts that were out at Delicious and Creative Chaos. Be sure to go check them out in your travels.

Sass Swarm

In Second Life there are groups for just about everything and anything we could be interested in. But we have come to notice that even some of those groups, get uppity when they're used for what they're meant for. So with that in mind, we would like to introduce you to a fairly new group in sl, the Sass Swarm.

What is the Sass Swarm? Well it's a place to call those fabulous silks you saw on a midnight mania board, or share some information about a to die for sale. even let us know about events you may be participating in. Share your opinions, make friends, and just stick together as a group. This group is not affiliated with any one sim, and it is not intended to replace another group instead our point is to provide a friendly environment for all.

We know that there are a lot of like minded individuals out there who read our blog, and may be interested in participating in some of these activities that we mention. Scavenger hunts (as an example) are much more fun in groups, and go much faster that way than when alone. Maybe you're learning to build and need advice on a project, or perhaps you need someone to model an outfit and give opinions. This group is for you.

One of the key elements to enjoying second life is being part of a network, and knowing what's going on. Being a Sassy Honey is one way to do that. So look us up. We aren't sexist either! We call male boards too!

Feeling Slightly Villainous

Sometimes something catches your eye while your bouncing from place to place. For me this silk did it. I HAD to have it.The only thing was finding someone to match up with me at the Lucky Fortune Machine that they have out at Shack >.<. Am sure that there are a lot of you that can understand and relate to that. Anyways here's a picture in my new silk and a list of how to look just like me. (Though it is more fun to look like yourself, if there's something you like in the picture then you can find it yourself)

Silk Worms : Tadpole Review

There's a silk in second life for every character. And many of us go through a lot of different silks on the hunt for the perfect one. The truth is, is with the frequent changes in sl there is never going to be ONE perfect outfit. There's always a new designer, or a new accessory that can be added to an outfit.

Today though I want to tell you about an outfit that a dear friend selected for me. It's called Tadpole. In the images below you can see both varieties that come in the box. There is a sheer copy, and a solid one. It has a number of pieces included. Tadpole is made by Silk Worms. I have a few different silks made by them, each one is unique and has a different feel to it.

Am sure when I said that tadpole has a  number of pieces you are wondering, What exactly do I mean by a number of pieces? Well there's bangles to wear on your arm and leg. Two different belts (one with sheer silks, the other with solid). Then there's the set of tops and bottoms, one in sheer and one in solid.

The skirt is interesting in the way that it is constructed. It falls over one hip, while the silver chaining of the belting wraps around the waist mimicking the intricate knotting of the arm bands in the fine detailing. The silks that hang are shorter than most that I am accustomed to, but the lovely detailing makes the silk one that I do love.

One thing I will recommend is that when you pick out a silk, no matter what store you are planning to purchase it from you take into considerations your skin and hair coloring. If you are frequently wearing a burnt orange red hair, buying orange silks isn't really going to work for you. And beige silks may not show up if they're the same color as your skin. I'm not saying that you can't do these sorts of  things, am simply saying you should think about how it will look on your coloring. (for example, irl i can't really wear yellow as it makes me look kind of seasick green.)

But I really liked this silk from Silk Worms. They are reliable when it comes to the quality of their work. You can expect things to be beautiful and workable when you select it. Two thumbs up from me.

Silky Prey

This is my first fashion post and i want to take this chance to review one of the amazing silks from Deviance. They are one of the best fantasy/role play outfitters on the market, they come at a price but they are truly beautiful.  This one is 'Enchantress'
The textures are beautiful and it fits in all the right places. There is a choice of a few different looks for the detail on the jewels around the hips and it comes with resizing menu.
I rate these beautiful, slinky silks so get yourself to their store and grab yourself something sexy.
