(RIP) The Village Rules

I do not claim ownership or authorship of the following rules. They're posted here, again, as a resource and reference for those interested to learn more about places that have been mentioned on the blog. A lot of us used to have fun at the Village sim. It's useful to have the rules to reflect on when you're looking at the rp and various images. For those that did not get a chance to participate in a rp place like this it gives them a window into the type of communities that participated in them.

WELCOME TO THE VILLAGE
=======================

THE VILLAGE: Slave Hunt™ is a mix of D/s, BDSM, Gorean, and Capture Role play Playground. DOMINANT MEN chase and capture submissive women, then RolePlay with them.

The Village is located on a distant moon, in a galaxy abandoned by Priests Kings, inhabited by descendants of Goreans, and made a prison moon for enslaved women to be hunted and used by the Men from throughout the galaxy (see background story).

1. GENERAL INFORMATION
     ========================

QUICK START INSTRUCTIONS

a. JOIN THE APPROPRIATE GROUP      
b. GET AND WEAR THE OFFICIAL VILLAGE METER AND HUD
c. MEN (only) USE A BOW TO HUNT WOMEN
d. DRESS APPROPRIATELY FOR THE SIM THEME

GROUPS: Join either THE PREY (women) or PREDATOR (men) GROUP. This allows you to pass through the barriers to the role play area (hunt grounds). Do not join both, which is a banning offense. Women must dress in silks, camisks, or panther wear ONLY and be barefooted. This sim is strongly gender oriented with no room for genders that are not clearly defined. Sexual role-play is between human forms only.

GAMEPLAY: Dominant men chase submissive women with bows, capture them by shooting rubber tipped arrows causing meter damage of 10% each arrow hit. At 0% health a Prey is captured, a net appears around her, and a Pred can bind her wrists (by clicking  on the net). Then the Pred can drag the Prey off to one of the many RolePlay areas around the sim.

SAFE ZONES: Market, Predator Hut, Prey Hut, OOC area near the Castle, Camp Fire on the island. NOTE: running in or back to those zones while being chased is considered as autocap.

ROLEPLAY ONLY AREA (NO CHASE AND CAPTURE): is located in the little Village behind the red Walls (NE of the Sim) --> see Roleplay Only signs.

PERSONS WEARING OFFICIAL VILLAGE Slave Hunt™  TITLES  may be actively working on their part for keeping the sim running well and ARE NOT SUBJECT TO CAPTURE. They also can set OOC while working.

IGNORANCE OF THESE RULES WILL NOT EXCUSE YOU FROM  BEING EXPECTED TO FOLLOW THEM. GUARDS ASSIST GUESTS and ENFORCE THE RULES FOR THE PEACE OF ALL. THIS IS A SEXUALLY EXPLICIT CAPTURE ROLEPLAY SIM. There are NO VISITOR TAGS here. In the Village, hunting grounds and WaterChase™ areas you should be IN CHARACTER,  already dressed in accordance to the sim rules, wearing THE VILLAGE Slave Hunt™ Meter, wearing the appropriate Village Group active, and prey must all be wearing a collar accessible to any Predator who captures them.

SEXUAL ACTIVITY IS HUMAN TO HUMAN ONLY
=======================================

While we make allowances for our mythical race friends to visit the sim, be part of the community, and engage in non-sexual RP, NO sexual interaction between an animal form mythical races and humans is allowed.

AGE PLAY IS HIGHLY FORBIDDEN. Child avatars are absolutely NOT allowed, Any sort of  role play with a child av IS A BANNING OFFENSE.  Minimal avatar height: 5'11" ft or 1.80 m.

NO griefing, no shouting, no flying, no push, no escorts, no recruiting, no vehicles, no gestures or sounds that spam the entire sim. Insulting, rude or verbally abusive OOC talk will not be tolerated.

NO Recruiting or hunting for Slave Auctions which involve the exchange of any sort of money. Doing so will result in a permanent ban.

YES! Goreans are MOSTLY welcome here but this place is NOT GOR, the Priest-Kings left the galaxy having abandoned the human population [read the background story]. WE LOVE GOR, but please remember the role-play here is different.

FIGHT LAG, DON'T BE A SIM RESOURCES HOG
=======================================

DO NOT CAUSE LAG!!! Take off all that unnecessary stuff like HUDs, chimeras, scripted hair, scripted clothing with resizers. You MUST keep your script count light to help with lag.  You should be able to get your script count below 100, anything over 150 will attract the attention of the guards who will ask you to remove excess scripts or scripted items.  There are helpful SCRIPT COUNTERS in the predator and prey huts that will count your script score for you by clicking on them.  (Note: most viewer side 'script count' features are inaccurate, and do not count HUDs etc.)

VAMPIRES are required to leave the Bloodlines game at the door.  NO SPAMMING THE PLAYERS WITH BITES!!

DO NOT LAG THE SIM:  HIGH SCRIPTED ITEMS ARE NOT ALLOWED, SPAMMING OR ANNOYING GESTURES ARE NOT ALLOWED. This includes vehicles run on the terrain, griefers, or leaving behind your own Pose Balls.  Don't rezz objects! All will be returned without warning.

IF YOU FIND YOUR  RUNNING LAGGING DURING A CHASE, TRY SPURT RUNNING... run a bit. Stop. Run more. Stop. Run. Let the sim catch up to you!! This is especially true when the sim is full and loading information to a lot of avatars, and when sim resource hogs unfairly take more than their share by wearing too many scripts. Roleplay while staying in one spot, and water chases are also enjoyable low lag experiences.

2. THE VILLAGE  Slave Hunt™ Meter
     =============================

This meter has been scripted for THE VILLAGE Slave Hunt™. ALL PLAYERS HAVE TO WEAR the current version of this Meter, no other meters are tolerated. The Village Slave Hunt™ Meter is a prim damage system and MOST weapons will register damage.

Preys AND Predators have to wear the meter in combat mode. OOC mode for players is allowed in OOC AREAS ONLY. Head Guards or Guards may use the OOC mode while they are resolving issues.

3. ROLEPLAY BASICS
   ================


1. ACT AS AN ADULT AND SOLVE YOUR OWN DISPUTES.  We don't want to get involved in your hunting activities or the after capture role-play. If you cannot settle a dispute on your own AS ADULTS then feel free to alert a Guard for intervention.

2. YOUR PERSONAL LIMITS: Personal roleplay limits will be honored, although exclusion of sexual activity in general may not be honored. LIST YOUR LIMITS  in a place easy to see in your PROFILE. If you are restricted sexually then please only enter the hunt grounds leashed to a predator. Be courteous and IM the other party and let them know if you can not role play rather than just teleporting out. (see rule #7 below for an exception to this rule). Personal roleplay bans are honored here. A no play-list in your profile will solve a lot of disputes.

3. BE RESPECTFUL OF OTHERS

4. JUMP, FLY AND SPEED-ENHANCERS ARE FORBIDDEN. Jump as the normal ability of the SL avatar is allowed.

5. RLV: Prey can not be forced to use the RLV functions of the collar.

6. TELEPORTATION OUT OF THE SIM: preys may not be teleported out of THE VILLAGE Slave Hunt™ without their express consent. They are invited to inform the owner or a Head Guard of any violation of this rule. It is suggested all roleplay remain on the sim in the play areas provided, where the rules of this sim can be enforced.

7. SEXUALLY Restricted prey can come to THE VILLAGE Slave Hunt™ and visit and interact with the people in the Village without threat of sexual restriction being compromised if they are owned and under these circumstances:

a) They have their owner clearly listed in their profile and listed as being sexually restricted.

b) Their owner must list the prey in their own profile and list that prey is sexually restricted.

c) Title their meter "sexually restricted to (owner name), non sexual RP only, see Village rule # 7".

d) Note this rule does not exempt you from being captured, or roleplayed with in other aspects, it only excludes you from sexual role play.

4.  THE PREY
   ==========

ALLOWED CLOTHING: Gorean slave clothes such as silks, camisk, panther clothes ONLY. NO STREET Clothes, No BDSM CLOTHES such as latex, fishnets etc. No shoes. No scripted hair.

PREY MUST wear a COLLAR (your own collar or Open Collar). Make sure to set yourself as primary owner. Once captured, the Predator should be set as second owner on your collar. You are now temporarily owned by that Predator for up to 24 hours.
When your enslavement is over you are free to remove second owners.

WEAPONS: Stones only. Preys are only allowed to throw rocks IN DEFENSE at the Predator who actually hunts her. A Prey is NOT permitted to taunt, hit, strike or verbally torment a predator to induce a hunt. Doing so is a violation of this rule and terms for ejection.

METER RESET:  If your limits don't fit with the wishes of the Predator you should alert the hunter through a polite IM and ask him if you may reset your meter. If you are downed and left, the meter can be reset after 5 minutes. If being chased, prey that has suffered meter damage can NOT re-enter into the safe zone or escape to an OOC area or run into a ROLEPLAY ONLY area for safety.  If they do, they will be considered automatically captured by the hunter (predator) pursuing them and will be forced to hand their self over to the predator.

REMEMBER: after being captured, you are unconscious. So there is no way to run, ESCAPE, jump, and throw rocks on your captor. There is no escape once a captive is taken inside the role play buildings. If you have agreed to roleplay with the hunter, entering a building, or agreed upon roleplay area, bind the roleplay to just you and him. You leave when the predator releases you, logs out, leaves the sim or hunts another prey (gave up on you).

USE: Predators are expected to use and/or role play with you once they capture you. If you are having issues with Predators who capture and release, please contact a Guard (ask for one in group chat if you cant see one in the Sim).

 4.1 THE PREY AS MERS
Sex is ONLY ALLOWED BETWEEN HUMANS. NO MER/HUMAN SEX. Once captured underwater the mers can be dragged up to dry land (out of the water) by a Predator to role-play with. Mers MUST change into human form at this point… a transformation with mythological ideas behind it.

5. THE PREDATORS
    ==============

ALLOWED CLOTHING: decent clothing please (HINT: gorean clothing always fits you perfectly) Please: .... no fig leaves on your best pal, no hunting with your cock out of your pants. PLEASE BE CLASSY  ... Leave all the scripted items at the door, i.e. swords, knives, capes etc. The less you wear, the faster you’ll move, the easier you cap ...

WEAPONS: Bows and certain firearms are allowed. You must check the allowed weapons list before entering into the sim. If you are using a weapon not approved you will be asked to remove it promptly. The allowed weapons are low lag, to help better fulfill your RP experience. NO FREEBEE WEAPONS at all. Next to the TP zone you'll find a good, inexpensive 2 Linden bow.

METER RESET: Predators may reset their meter after downing a prey or when they have been taken down. Predators
can NOT reset during an active chase UNTIL they are taken down. But Remember: Predators can NOT be hunted or
captured by preys!

DO NOT CHASE and CAPTURE prey unless you intend to use them! This game is about sexual use and that role-play.


   ========================
6. CAPTURE & ENSLAVEMENT
   ========================

Predators may enslave up to two prey at a time. If caught, the prey will be captured until:

1) the captor leaves the sim
2) the captor logs off
3) the captor leaves you in the compound and goes out to hunt other prey
4) the captor releases the prey
5) a 10 minute wait after the Predator has disappeared (crashed, also for Sim restarts)

After 24 hours, prey may remove their current owner from their collar menu and return to Start Point.

ONCE ROLEPLAY HAS BEGUN INSIDE A RP BUILDING OR ROOM THE CAPTURED PREY MAY NOT BE STOLEN OR TRADED
BY ANOTHER PRED. SHE BELONGS TO THE PRED WHO CAPTURED HER. On the open hunt grounds a Pred may steal
or trade a captured prey from another Pred in one of two ways:

1. A prey may be traded or stolen by another predator by capturing the predator and taking ownership of the prey's
collar, voiding the first capture of the original predator, or role playing the capture with the willing prey. Either incident
will void the original capture. You may NOT repeat these steps once the prey is stolen or traded. There is no escape
once a girl is taken inside roleplay buildings. Prey may leave when the captor logs out, leaves the sim, offers release,
or hunts other prey.

2. Fight for ownership: The Predators may turn on their meters and fight for the ownership (duel) of a prey they both hunted.
The defeated predator must gracefully acknowledge his loss and leave. Predator just resets his meter.

7. ALLOWED WEAPONS
   ==================

HIGHLY FORBIDDEN: any kind of freebee weapons, poorly scripted guns, fast fire rate that is not adjustable (sorry, causes too much lag). You will be asked to remove these weapons from use.

APPROVED WEAPONS: You will be able to find these approved weapons up in the market. To make sure please read the listing of the approved weapons, information about Approved Weapons is available upon request from our Master at Arms or any Guard.

8. WATERCHASE™
    ==================
A completely original enhancement to the Village, never before seen in SL.... CHASE IN WATER ELEMENTS. The size of the Village chase grounds has been effectively doubled with a maze of underground water passages I have created and engineered for swimming, floating, and chasing underwater. Special hidden entrances are in key places in the sim. Men and women may use swim HUDs to enhance the WaterChase™ experience (but not strictly necessary). All of the sim water has been connected, both above ground and below, so that chase scenes may involve both above ground running and underwater swimming (or running) chases and capture.

With the enhancement of WaterChase™ for the first time Mers (women only) will be allowed in Mer form IN THE WATER ONLY. Preds may cap Mers and drag them above to dry land at which point they will transform to human form, and sexual RP may begin with them. The backstory will be amended with a new chapter "The Discovery: The Underground Waters of Heiban" where the details will be explained in context. One of the details (more to come) is the arrival of a bold adventurer, GMC Carter, who discovers the underground water passages, a hidden pod of Mers, and the almost magical waters which are imbued with special hyper-oxygenated water that allows  humans transdermal breathing while submerged. And the Preds will need it. Mers are notorious sirens, luring men below to trick them and taunt them. And something begins to happen to the human Pred… a strange thing that begins to weaken them the longer they are underwater… (more later).

9. THE ROLEPLAY VILLAGE™
    ======================
A taste of Gor and D/s with an emphasis on ROLEPLAY. From Gorean dances, a Tavern, RP teaching and demonstrations, special areas, special dances and party events,  and other ideas you might have to increase the quality of roleplay interaction in the Village. The RolePlay Village will be a self-contained area behind the walls of the Village and new toys, areas and scenes will be integrated to enhance individual and group RP scenes. Exemplary RolePlay and role-players will be stimulated, rewarded and encouraged through an evolutionary development at the Village proper. We will work together (my Angels and myself) to continue to develop the most interesting and immersive sim in SL.

The hunt grounds at the Village Slave Hunt will remain as they are, with chase and capture being the focus for all those who find this to be the most fun part of their experience at the Village Slave Hunt. In the RolePlay Village part, no capture is allowed, but we will encourage a wide assortment of role-players to make this an integral part of deepening their experience at the Village Slave Hunt. Those who seek this shall find many surprises here. Also, our family, community, and retinue of SLers who continue to make The Village Slave Hunt their home and social meeting place shall find many comfortable and pretty places to hang out, as they have in other elemental areas I have created in the sim.
